Perugia

Perugia, with its ancient Etruscan walls, has one of Italy’s most beautiful main squares: the middle of the square is dominated by Fontana Maggiore, a splendid mediaeval fountain which has been realized in the second half of Thirteenth century, after the construction of a very important public work, an aqueduct which brought water from the close-by Monte Pacciano to Perugia. On a side of Perugia’s main square we find the Palazzo dei Priori, which has represented, during the Middle Age, the palace of city’s most important political authorities. The higher part of the square is occupied by Saint Laurence Cathedral.

Perugia has today become famous for chocolate, mostly because of a single firm, Perugina, whose Baci (kisses) are widely exported. Perugia chocolate is very popular in Italy, and the city hosts a chocolate festival in October every year.

Perugia today hosts two main universities, the main University and the Foreigners University, melting pots for students from all over Italy and the world.

There from you can easily reach with your Ferrari tour any place in central Italy, to enjoy the best of the Italian Way of Life.
